NaNoWriMo has come to and end. I finished--with very little time to spare--and I'm really happy with the results. I'm a little over the 50,000 mark with probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 35,000 usable words. I hadn't planned out anything in advance and so the whole month was basically about fleshing out ideas and seeing where they took me.
Like I said I'm happy with the results, but even more than that I'm happy that I actually wrote, an endeavor that I've been engaging in in only small ways for the past couple of years. I'm forcing myself to take the weekend off from the novel and I'm writing some more lighthearted one page stories--that I'll be posting once I type them up. Stop motions going to have to take a back seat I think. Although I am going to do a little more work in puppetry--a few Christmas gifts I want to make. I'll post the results.
